“The Walking Dead” Season 7 breaks ratings records in Latin America

“The Walking Dead” season 7 once again is capturing the audience in Latin America. The rating of the first episode grew an average of 17% in total audience in six Latin American key markets in both FOX Premium and FOX basic, compared to the first episode of season 6, according to data provided by FOX Networks Group (FNG) Latin America.

The first five episodes of season 7 had an average of 1.6 million followers per episode (FOX; FOX App +3), making it the season with the most audience in premiere episodes. This way, season 7 already exceeds in 18% to the previous season and in 45% the season 3, that have been the ones with greater ratings in the region. In addition, in the FOX App the new season records an average audience 4 times greater than season 6.

In Brazil, the first episode on FOX obtained 3.3 rating points (P18-34HM), a 94% increase compared to the season 6 premiere. It is the highest audience rating obtained by FOX in Brazil in the last six years. In Mexico, the season premiere hit 2.7 points (P18-34HM) and in Colombia 2.4 (P18-34HM).
