TyC Sports to stream six live channels for Olympics coverage

 

Sports channel TyC Sports from Argentina announced its coverage for the Rio 2016 Olympics. The channel will dedicate all its programming to the event, with more than 17 hours live. Jointly with the linear broadcast, the TV Everywhere platform TyC Sports Play will offer a minimum of six additional channels that will stream live all the competitions.

 

This will be the channel’s sixth Olympic coverage.  TyC Sports will have a team of 60 professionals working from Rio de Janeiro, including journalists, producers and technicians. From Buenos Aires, another 100 people will be dedicated to the event, said the company in its press release.

 

The broadcasts will begin daily at 8 A.M (Argentina time) and will be in charge of the journalist Gonzalo Bonadeo, with recognized expertise in covering sporting events.

 

In the IBC, TyC Sports will have its own 200m2 studio. In addition, the channel said that it will have its own six cameras and six broadcast backpacks.  In the Olympic Village there will be a 24-hour camera for Argentine athletes to send messages to the public and to their family.
