Mexican triple-play operator Totalplay (Salinas Group) is looking to add contents from the OTT platforms Blim (Televisa) and Claro Video (América Móvil) to its pay TV offer, stated the CEO of Totalplay, Eduardo Kuri, during a press conference.
According to the executive, this goal is part of a strategy aimed at offering all the content available, both linear and VOD, reported El Financiero newspaper. Currently, Totalplay integrates into its set-top boxes an app with access to Netflix, as well as 4K content. In September, the operator will release new applications with access to Sony and HBO movies and series.
“We are ready to incorporate Blim or any other company. For now, we are in conversations with Blim, when they are ready and we are ready too this will happen “Kuri said.
Totalplay has deployed an extensive FTTH network that covers more than six million homes across 20 Mexican cities. Recently, it has launched Gamefly, its new video game streaming platform.
