Televisa reaches agreement with producers Canana from Mexico and Pol-ka from Argentina for contents for Latin America

Mexican telecommunications company Televisa reached trade agreements with producers Pol-ka from Argentina and Canana from Mexico to perform contents for its Latin American multi-platforms.

Canana Films, of Mexican actors Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna, will produce two exclusive original series for Televisa’s Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD) service Blim. The studio has already worked on projects with the TV station in the past and now has an on-site office on their premises, local media reported.

On the other hand, the international distribution arm of Televisa and Pol-ka Producciones will make four daily series during the next four years, which will be premiered through OTT Blim, Televisa’s Free-to-Air and Pay-TV signals, El Trece (Clarin Group) channel from Argentina and other international platforms still in negotiations. The parties have worked together for ten years.

“All the productions resulting from this initiative will contain a significant potential for 360º exploitation and will have in their genesis an important multi-platform work to encompass different types of audience”, reads the press release issued by the companies.
