NexTV Series Colombia & Andean 2016 will gather on November 30 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bogota pay TV, Film, Free-to-Air TV, music and OTT executives as well as representatives of the Multi-Channel Networks (MCNs) that are attracting new video audiences in Colombia and around the world.
The event is organized by Dataxis and will have 7 executive panels and more than 50 speakers from top Colombia’s TV and media companies.
In this sense, the conference will join panelists of leading operators and programmers such as Claro, Telefonica, DirecTV, Tigo Une, Fox and Emcali with Free-to-air TV channels Caracol, RCN, Señal Colombia and Telepacífico, along with the OTTs Roku, PlayKids, Caracol Play, Vivo Play and GlobalPlay.
Representatives of traditional media that are migrating to online video such as El Tiempo and El País, and booming MCNs such as Goldfish, Farolatino and ONErpm, will be also part of the conference.
The Colombian market is constantly growing. Colombia will surpass 6.2 million households with pay TV in 2021. In turn, the country will exceed one million OTT paid accounts in 2016, a figure that will grow to 3.2 million in 2021.
The most popular YouTube channels are surpassing three million subscribers in the country and have more than a billion views each. Meanwhile, YouTube Multi-channel Networks (MCNs) are capturing the audience of traditional TV.
