Tomorrow begins NexTV Series Mexico & Central America 2016, the most important conference on TV, OTT and digital media in Mexico. For two days, October 4 & 5, the major players in the market will gather to debate the pay TV transformation to TV Everywhere, the online video strategies of MCNs and social networks, and the furure of OTT and VOD services, among other topics.
The event is organized by Dataxis and gathers pay TV operators, TV and film producers, FTA networks, programmers, OTTs, MCNs, executives of newspapers, radio stations and the music industry as well as technology providers and integrators.
NexTV Series Mexico & Central America will open the debate on how to negotiate with Netflix and other OTTs, the online video business of social networks and MCNs, the new DTT channels, the transformation of traditional media, the strategies of OTT platforms such as Crunchyroll, Cinema Uno and Cinépolis Klic, among others, and the sports services like Claro Sports, Chivas TV and NBA.
The event will be held at the Intercontinental Presidente of Mexico City and will have over 60 speakers on 10 panels. The first day, the executive panels will be “TV & Cinema Producers: How to participate of the OTT business”, “Pay TV Programmers & Operators: How to attract future consumers?”, “Free & advertising-based OTTs, MCNs & social networks”, “Broadcast TV towards DTT, multiscreen and OTT” and “Radio becomes TV through OTTs”.
During the second day of the event the panels will address topics such as: “Technological leaders (CTOs) and the future of TV new technologies”, “Subscription and transactional VOD OTT and linear strategies in Mexico”, “Large print media and migration to OTT video”, “Music business and the online video audience boom”, “Sports: Multi-screen, OTT & Live Streaming”.
