The new video strategies of the main sports OTTs and Multichannel Networks (MCNs) will be discussed at the next edition of NexTV Series Mexico & Central America 2016, the most important conference on TV, OTT and digital media in Mexico, to be held October 4&5 in Mexico City.
The sports OTTs are booming in Mexico. Claro Sports broadcasted the Olympics this year, Chivas TV broke into the market with its own service, while the social network Twitter started its live coverage of the NFL.
The executive panel “Sports: Multi-screen, OTT & Live Streaming” will analyze the video consumption through multiple devices and the reasons why people choose to watch sports via OTT, among other topics. The panel will gather Andrés Nieto Serpa, Director of ClaroSports Latam; José Luis Higuera, CEO of Grupo Omnilife-Chivas; Santiago Kuribreña, Media Director at Twitter México; Arturo de la Peña, Digital Content Manager of WWE; Alejandro Domínguez Miranda, Technical Director at Internetv; Isaura Morales, Associate Director – Global Content and Media Distribution of NBA and Mauricio Lozano, Director and co-founder of Dimtec.
Meanwhile, YouTube MCNs are capturing the audience of traditional TV and the conference will discuss how will be this scenario in the future.
The panel called “Free & advertising-based OTT´s, MCNs & social networks” will gather leading executives such as Gerardo Vélez, Content Partnerships Manager of YouTube; Mayra Santander, Content Manager of Uno TV; Diego Leonel de Cervantes, Director of Digital & Internet at TV Azteca; Diego Alvarez, General Director of Plataforma TV, Hugo Tapia, Country Manager of 2btube and José C. García de Letona, COO of Ánima Estudios.
The panel will discuss how Multichannel Networks are built; the ad-supported models; how the YouTube business works and the strategies towards multiple video social networks: Vimeo, Snapchat.
NexTV Series Mexico & Central America is organized by Dataxis.
