Theater company Caribbean Cinemas announced through a press release it will launch in August its own Pay-TV channel, Caribbean TV, and will debut in the programming grid of operator Telecable (Tricom/Altice) in the Dominican Republic.
“This new channel specializes in US commercial cinema, independent and festival films. It will also transmit TV series, short films, documentaries and other materials related to film, giving a prominent place to Dominican movies”, stated the Director of Programming and Production of Caribbean TV, Francisco Maldonado.
Telecable offers plans with HD channels from USD 19.58 to USD 28.38 with options for additional DVR services for USD 5.06 and DVR-HD for USD 12.76. In addition, there are different premium packages with exclusive HD channels or the subscription to the baseball world league coverage. Tricom has triple play through the SmartBox device provided only to subscribers Triple Play Max (USD 67) and Triple Play Max+ (USD 111.9) packages.
