Netflix compra más producciones locales en BrasilNetflix purchased more local production in Brazil

La plataforma OTT norteamericana Netflix adquirió tres nuevas producciones locales en Brasil. Se trata de tres documentales de la productora Maria Farinha Filmes, que ya contaba con la película Muito Além do Peso en el catálogo de Netflix.

El acuerdo es por A Educação Está Proibida de 2012 (estará disponible en la plataforma a partir del 25 de julio), Criança, A Alma do Negócio de 2008 (desde el 30 de julio) y Tarja Branca – A Revolução Que Faltava, la cual tuvo su estreno en las salas de cine brasileñas en junio de este año (ingresará al catálogo del OTT el 15 de octubre próximo).

Esta adquisición sigue confirmando la apuesta de Netflix por las producciones locales para el mercado brasileño, ya que ya posee películas y series de grandes distribuidoras y canales locales (como Bandeirantes y TV Cultura), stands ups brasileños y la serie exclusiva “A Toca”.The North American OTT platform Netflix acquired three new local productions in Brazil. They consist of three documentaries of the Maria Farinha Filmes production company, which already counted with the Muito Além do Peso movie in the Netflix catalog.

The agreement includes A Educação Está Proibida of 2012 (it will be available in the platform as of July 25th), Criança, A Alma do Negócio de 2008 (as of July 30th) y Tarja Branca – A Revolução Que Faltava, which was released in the Brazilian movie theaters in June of this year (it will be included in the OTT catalog on October 15th).

This acquisition continues to confirm Netflix’s bet on local productions for the Brazilian market, since it already owns movies and series from important distribution companies and local channels (such as Bandeirantes and TV Cultura), Brazilian stand ups and the exclusive series “A Toca”.
