The Argentine integrator Network Broadacast relies on a solution that enables Latin American operators to implement TV Everywhere services aimed at supporting content from multiple platforms via OTT. According to what NexTV Latam found out, the system integrates Verimatrix DRM and Minerva middleware. Some operators have already started testing the solution in the region. In the next edition of Jornadas 2011, to be held in Buenos Aires, a demo of the product will be presented.
Network Broadcast system enables the broadcasting of live HD content as well as offline material broadcasting. According to what the company has confirmed, all services can be broadcasted in tablets, smartphones, PCs, TV sets and STBs. The solution works through these devices and utilizes streaming adaptive technology. By means of the middleware, users have access to different functions: Live streaming, VOD, catch UP and NPVR, among others.
Network Broadcast launched this new solution last August at ABTA 2011, where a demo was also presented. The Brazilian choice to present this novelty was not made at random since such market “is recording great expansion thanks to the strong investments made in the telecommunications industry”, stated the Commercial Director of the company Javier Lorenzo, who also highlighted “an increasing offer” of TV Everywhere platforms in the region. Jornadas 2011 will be held from 28 to 30 September, at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires.
