Televisa Networks has launched Canal de las Estrellas Latin America in HD, thus increasing its channel portfolio in such technology. The new channel has been available since June and has already been distributed across Central America and the Caribbean. Some of its main productions include ‘Por ella soy Eva’, ‘Amor Bravío’ and ‘Amorcito Corazón’.
Therefore, Canal de las Estrellas Latin America joins the HD channel group Televisa Networks has launched in the last months together with TDN HD, De Película HD and Golden HD. According to Fernando Muñíz, Televisa Networks General Director, is an initiative that accounts serves as “support for those affiliates migrating to digital platforms, which enables them to offer their subscribers both SD digital TV and HD one”.
Televisa Networks’ portfolio includes 20 channels, including SD, HD and represented channels. The following are some of its own brands: Ritmoson Latino, Telehit, Tiin, Tlnovelas and Bandamax. According to what is disclosed in its web page, Canal de las Estrellas Latin America reaches more than 18 countries all across Latin America. Its programming includes popular soap operas, as well as comedy, children, sport, documentary, new, music and entertainment shows.
