The Brazilian OTT NetMovies has closed a license agreement with Miramax, thus enabling the OTT to include in its catalog a good part of the American companies’ titles bookstore to be seen through streaming. In September, NetMovies had executed a similar agreement with Disney.
Therefore, the OTT enlarges its catalog in Brazil, where it competes with Netflix and Terra TV Video Store, among other VOD-through-Streaming options. NetMovies also relies on a DVD home delivery service, which is available in all cities of the country with more than 500,000 inhabitants, in 16 States.
By means of this new agreement, as from December, users will be able to watch movies such as: “Pulp Fiction”, “The English patient “, “City of God” and “Kill Bill”. Users can gain access to the Brazilian OTT from any PC, tablets, smartphones and Samsung and LG connected TV sets. NetMovies’ streaming service is offered at a USD 7,9 monthly fee.
