The Brazilian OTT NetMovies has released an application for iPads, iPhones and iPod touch, which offers access to its wide streaming movie and series catalog. The download of the application has already been made available in App Store. Therefore, the service increases its presence in new mobile devices.
According to what TelaViva disclosed, NetMovies relies on an application for Android tablets and smartphones. Users can also gain access to the service through Connected TV sets and blu-ray players of important brands such as LG and Samsung as well as through STBs FnacBox of Fnac Brasil. The company stated that the new application for Apple devices enables users to see eight thousand movies and series of its catalog.
NetMovies’monthly streaming movie subscription amounts to USD 8. The OTT has recently increased its catalog through agreements with Miramax and Disney, thus nebaling the company to gain positioning in the Brazilian market, where it competes with Netflix and Terra TV Video Store, among other video streaming offers. NetMovies also relies on its DVD home delivery service and is present in the main cities of the country.
