Google will display linear TV and live VOD listings in their search results

US technology company Google announced that it will start showing listings of linear TV and live Video On Demand (VOD) on the results of its internet search engine, reported engadget.com website.

The new results module, which still has no confirmed launching date, will include both traditional TV channels with their programming schedules as some VOD platforms and mobile apps. It is unclear whether it will include OTT services.

The option will allow the user to select the TV provider and customize the results, it will include information on programming and will announce what can be seen live at that time and where, in addition to be able to find out at what time do they transmit a specific content and on what support.
