Fox Networks Group Latin America (FNG) will premiere this Sunday, October 9, the original series “Llámame Bruna” (Call Me Bruna). The new production – filmed in Brazil- will air on Fox1, at 11 p.m.
“Llámame Bruna” is based on the true story of Raquel Pacheco, also known as Bruna Surfistinha, a young middle class girl that becomes the most famous prostitute in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The eight-episode series stars Mary Bopp as Bruna (Oscar Freire 279) and it is directed by Márcia Faria.
The Brazilian production had a casting with more than 70 talents and more than 450 extras. The shooting lasted two months and took place at more than 30 locations in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
Bruna Surfistinha became known after publishing a blog with its experiences with customers. Her story was adapted for a movie in 2011, directed by Marcus Baldini.
