Food Network closes deal with Cablevisión and announces original production in Argentina

Scripps Networks Interactive announced the launch of Food Network on Cablevisión’s digital lineup in Argentina. It will be available from October 1, reaching more than 1.5 million households.  As a result of this expansion, the company also announced its first original production in the country.


The new Spanish production is called “Locos X el Asado” and will be led by Luciano Luchetti, who will share the details to cook “the best Argentina meat”. Luchetti is one of the founders of the virtual platform with the same name, where users share photos, recipes and secrets to prepare a good barbecue.


“Our international strategy includes complementing our leading global productions with local content,” said Eduardo Hauser, Managing Director of Scripps Networks Interactive in Latin America and the Caribbean.


“We are increasing the number of Latin American programming, and more specifically from Argentina, with Locos X el Asado, a show that celebrates the authentic culinary traditions that are unique to the region,” Hauser added.
