Cox prepares to launch Hispanic-focused SVOD service in the US

 

US cable operator Cox Communications confirmed that is preparing a new Spanish-language subscription platform called Glosi. The website of the service is already online. It is expected to launch in pilot mode this August.

 

The launch of the service was first reported by The Donohue Report site. Cox later confirmed the information. Through a statement, the operator said “Glosi is a Hispanic-focused video streaming service and online portal with thousands of hours of exclusive content and original programming”.

 

Glosi will offer classic and new excusive soap operas, according to information on its website. In a video on Youtube, the soap opera “Entre mi amor y tu amor” it is mentioned as one of the titles that will be part of the catalog.

 

The monthly subscription will cost USD 9.99. As a pre-launch promotion, users that pay for one month in advance will receive a 20% discount (USD 7.99). Viewer buying three months in advance will get a 40% discount (USD 17.97).
