The Automatic Telephone Cooperative of Santa Cruz (Cotas) from Bolivia, which offers Pay-TV via Cable and DTH, launched the first TV Everywhere and Video On Demand (VOD) platform owned by an operator in that country. Cotas Play (cotas.com/cotasplay) is available at no extra cost and for three simultaneous devices.
Cotas Play includes local signals Unitel, Red Uno and Pat, plus the international ESPN, Space, TNT, Cartoon Network, Food Network and FunBox. Bolivian channels will be of free access while foreigners will be limited to subscribers of the Digital Full HD plan of the Cable TV operator or Full HD plan of the Satellite TV option.
Cotas’ DTH offers three plans, all with prepaid or postpaid option. Basico has 53 signals (six in High Definition), Intermedio comes with 62 channels (seven in HD) and Full HD can display 77 signals (12 in HD). Users can also purchase a pack of Fox+ with five premium channels and the UFC signal.
Cotas’ Cable TV service offers four plans: Digital Inicial with 88 channels, Basico Digital Plus with 170 signals, Digitotal with 141 video and 50 audio channels, and Digital Full HD with 170 video (29 in HD) and 50 audio channels.
