Comteco and Viva from Bolivia unite to launch the country’s first quadruple play package


Telecommunications Cooperative of Cochabamba (Comteco) and mobile operator Viva (NuevaTel) from Bolivia announced through a press conference to local media that it reached a trade agreement to launch the country’s first quadruple play package.


The so called Paquetón de ConCom will be available as of the end of April. It will feature Comteco’s new digital cable TV service, including a wider choice of channels in high definition (HD), 3 MB ADSL internet, mobile minute on Viva cellphone lines and unlimited landline telephony, informed the cooperative’s Administrative Board Chairman, Hugo Franco.


Comteco offers Pay-TV on HFC cable and DTH, broadband and fixed telephony in the metropolitan area of ​​the city of Cochabamba and nearby towns and is displaying an optic fiber network. Viva provides mobile telephony and internet around the whole territory of Bolivia.
