Claro Video and AMC to launch Amazon series Mad Dogs

 

Video On Demand (VOD) Platform Claro Video (America Movil) and AMC Latin America channel will launch in the region TV series Mad Dogs, originally produced by OTT Amazon Video in the United States.

 

Claro Video users in Latin America will have access to Mad Dogs from May 29th while the linear Pay-TV channel will show the season every Friday as of June 3rd.

 

Mad Dogs is a series of ten one-hour episodes featuring a single season (Amazon announced in February it would not renew) and was originally released in January. A dark-comic thriller, it is an adaptation of a production from British Pay-TV network Sky.

 

AMC is the flagship channel of programmer AMC Networks International which also distributes in Latin America Sundance Channel, Mas Chic, Europa Europa, El Gourmet and Film&Arts signals.

 

Claro Video was launched in 2013 and is currently available to subscribers of telephone and/or Pay-TV and internet in 15 Latin American countries: Mexico (also open to non-clients), Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Uruguay and Panama.
