Pay-TV operators Claro and Net (America Movil) in Brazil (in collaboration with companies Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Ericsson, Samsung and Globosat) conducted the first experimental transmission with LTE Broadcast technology in Latin American during the Rio de Janeiro Tennis Open. The video content was generated live and exclusively through SporTV channel.
Journalists and guests received next-generation mobile devices, compatible with LTE Broadcast technology, and could observe the emissions generated directly by the sports channel. In addition to traditional coverage, they had access to three unique cameras, all of the center court, available exclusively for this pilot.
