Argentina’s OTT platform Odeon launches first native Android app

Free access OTT platform Odeon, which offers audiovisual content produced in Argentina, launched its first native mobile app for smartphones and tablets with Android.

 

This move represents the first step in its multi-screen strategy. Soon, the company will launch new applications for iOS devices and SmarTVs. The new Android app is already available for free download in Google Play.

 

Odeon is the VOD platform of the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) of Argentina and the national telecommunications company Arsat. Odeon has more than 388,000 registered users and a catalog of more than 1,100 hours of content.

 

The service was launched in November 2015, and it offers the audiovisual content of INCAA. The institute also has a pay TV channel, INCAA TV, which is 24 hours dedicated to Argentine film and it is available on DTT platform and pay TV operators.
