State telecommunications company Antel of Uruguay announced through a press release that it has reached an agreement with the international trading arm of state British broadcaster BBC for the incorporation of its content through the Video On Demand (VOD) platform Vera+.
The 195 hours of BBC content represent various genres and publics and include the recognized automotive show Top Gear, children’s 3rd & Bird, Baby Jake and Dinopaws, and nature franchise series Wild (Japan, Arabia and China).
“For us it is a great achievement to have the BBC as part of Antel’s supply because not only it is adding value but it is also content of unquestionable quality, which will enrich the experience of our users promoting the use of infrastructure leader in Latin America”, stated the President of the Uruguayan company, Andres Tolosa.
“The addition of content to digital platforms from companies such as Antel is central to the strategy of BBC Worldwide. On the one hand, these initiatives demonstrate our willingness to contribute to the development of our members, while encouraging the loyalty of BBC Worldwide contents in Latin America”, said EVP and Managing Director of the British broadcaster in the region, Anna Gordon.
