US programmer AMC Networks International (AMCNI) Latin America announced through a press release that its flagship channel was added to the grid of Pay-TV operator Entel from Chile in its high-definition (HD) format.
“This agreement not only allows Entel to strengthen its offering with an innovative channel that in a very short time has gained ground thanks to the originality and quality of shows like Fear the Walking Dead. It also allows AMC to consolidate its brand presence and continue adding followers in one of the most important markets in the entertainment industry in Latin America”, stated the Distribution VP of AMCNI in the region, Gustavo Lopez.
AMC is available in Latin America since the end of 2014 and is already present in Chile on the grids of Pay-TV operators DirecTV (AT & T), Movistar (Telefonica), VTR (Liberty Global) and GTD. Entel has more than 90 million Pay-TV subscribers in Chile.
